Offical opening of Stratford Parkway

Seven months early and on budget, June 14th 2013 saw the official opening of Stratford Parkway railway station. At the celebratory event, members of Warwickshire County Council’s transport planning team, who oversaw the project to construct the new £6.9 million station, were joined by Nadhim Zahawi MP for Stratford on Avon, Portfolio Holder for Transport & Planning, Councillor Peter Butlin and the Chairman of Warwickshire County Council Cllr Dave Shilton who did the official unveiling. 114,000 new rail trips are forecast to both the new Stratford Parkway station and the existing town station by 2024/2025.  Watch video >>

Transport Minister visits Stratford Parkway

Stratford Parkway Final Handover

May 17th, 2013 saw the final checks and handover of Stratford Parkway station from the contractors, some 7 months ahead of schedule, with the new station approved ready for the first trains to stop and passengers to have access only two days later. Bridge in place at Stratford Parkway
