Mike Seddon appeals for Shakespeare Hospice

Well known local business man Mike Seddon has been diagnosed with terminal cancer and given just weeks to live. In this video he talks openly about his diagnosis and the care he's received from the Shakespeare Hospice, enabling him to die at home. Since his diagnosis Mike has dedicated himself to raising both awareness and funds to ensure the service continues to be there for others in the same situation.  Watch video >>

Save Our Stratford Boats Campaign Video

A campaign is currently underway to save the number of rowing boats on the River Avon by encouraging people to sign a petition to reverse a decision to cut the number of licenses by a third. The Shakespeare Anthem

Shakespeare Sunday, 27th April, saw a specially composed anthem performed at Holy Trinity Church as part of the Civic Service. With words by the Bard himself, taken from Henry VIII and music by Toby Young, the work premiered today, sung by the Holy Trinity Choir led by the Director of Music, Benedict Wilson.  Watch video >>

Soldier On

February 8th sees the release of Soldier On, the song dedicated to the memory of Private Conrad Lewis, a Claverdon resident, who became the 353rd British soldier to be killed in Afghanistan. In this video Conrad's father talks about his son and how the song came to be produced. It's to be released on the 3rd anniversary of his death, is produced by The Big Secret Sound, is performed and composed by Stratford's Andrew James, with lyrics by Chris Onslow.
